Please welcome Hanna Jorgenson as our new Communications Manager!
Hanna comes to us with a wealth of marketing and communications experience in both the non-profit sector and the medical device industry. With a genuine passion for the mission of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal dedication to the table.
Having navigated the challenges of childhood cancer firsthand, she is intimately acquainted with the critical importance of our mission. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma at the age of 16, and later with Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a cancer predisposition syndrome, she understands the significance of early intervention and advocacy for young patients’ health.
Driven by a deep-seated commitment to improving the lives of young people, she has dedicated considerable time and energy to serving on various non-profit boards and volunteering with organizations focused on pediatric health and well-being. With boundless enthusiasm and a steadfast dedication to our cause, Hanna is poised to lead our communications efforts with creativity, compassion, and purpose!
