The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is considering modifications to the Communicable Disease Reporting Rules through the Minnesota rulemaking process. This rulemaking process will update Minnesota’s Communicable Disease Reporting Rules to address new and emerging communicable diseases, remove unnecessary provisions, clarify reporting conditions, and address other technical changes.
MDH published the “Request for Comments” (RFC) in the January 17, 2023, State Register and will be accepting comments until March 20, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. The department encourages you to review the RFC and submit comments. MDH will publish the specific modifications to the Communicable Disease Reporting Rules at a later date.
