CATCH
The Community Access To Child Health (CATCH) Program is a national program of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to improve access to health care by supporting pediatricians and communities who are involved in community-based efforts for children. The CATCH Program provides pediatricians with:
There are two types of CATCH grants available- one for practicing pediatricians and one for pediatric residents. Minnesota pediatricians and residents have received both types of CATCH grants over the past several years.
CATCH GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR PEDIATRICIANS IN AMOUNTS UP TO $12,000
The Community Access To Child Health (CATCH) Planning Funds program provides grants in amounts from $2,500 to $12,000 for pediatricians to develop innovative, community-based initiatives that increase children's access to medical homes or to specific health services not otherwise available. Planning project activities must lead to sustainable, community-based child health initiatives that increase access to care, especially for underserved children, and address health disparities among children.
CATCH GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR PEDIATRIC RESIDENTS IN AMOUNTS UP TO $3,000
Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) Resident Funds program supports pediatric residents in the planning of community-based child health initiatives. Grants of up to $3,000 are awarded twice each year on a competitive basis for pediatric residents to address the needs of children in their communities. CATCH Resident Funds grant projects must include planning activities and also may include some implementation activities. DEADLINES
